Sorry!

Hey everyone!

So, it's definitely been forever since I last blogged, and this is really no excuse, but I have been super busy and have been dealing with the most hectic schedule lately.

Anyways, about 3 weeks ago I purchased the Urban Decay Naked eye shadow palette and I can't wait to review it for you all and tell you how I mix and use all the colors!

More soon!!! =]

Skin Care Review . . . Finally!!!

Hey everyone!

Sorry it took so long for me to post the skin care products review, but things here at the university have been totally hectic lately. Anyways, for the last few weeks I have been using skin care products from Biore. I've been using the Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser, Pore Unclogging Scrub, and the Triple Action Astringent. I love these prodcts! What I have been doing is super simple and it works wonders! In the morning I would use the Triple Action  Astringent and that was it. Then in the evenings, after COMPLETELY removing all makeup, I would dampen my face with warm water and then work the Pore Unclogging Scrub in small circles all over my face. After rinsing that off with warm water I was work the Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser into my skin, again in small circles all over my face. I would then rinse that off with warm water, and completely dry my face with a towel. Finally, I would use the Triple Action Astringent again. It makes your skin feel so healthy, and clean, and refreshed! The only thing that was kind of annoying about this process is that your skin will get worse before it gets better. The combination of the pore fighting scrub and the blemish fighting cleanser, makes all bacteria come to the surface of the skin causing any zits and pimples to appear. However, once you've been using the products for a few weeks the zits and pimples go away and your face will have less of that bacteria. I definitely recommend using these products, because even though your skin will look worse when you first start the routine, the outcome is totally worth it!

Lush Products!

Hey everyone!

In case you didn't know, I'm a HUGE fan of Lush products. And for those of you who don't know what Lush is it's a cosmetics store and all of their products are fresh and handmade. Also, all the products are organic and some of them are vegan and others are vegetarian friendly. I haven't tried all the different products but the ones I have tried, I'm very impressed with. Though, their products are somewhat pricey, but it's totally worth it because of the quality and also because of how long the products last. I recently bought 3 of their new body washes and tried them out. The first one I bought is just a regular shower gel. It's called Happy Hippy, and it smells wonderful! I love using this in the morning because it definitely wakes me up. It's super citrussy, and contains freshly squeezed grapefruit. Yum! The second one I tried is actually a new product of theres and it's a body "jelly." It's a body wash, but it comes in jelly form. It literally looks and feels like Jello. I got the scent Sweetie Pie and all you do is rip a little bit of it off and put it in your loofa. Such a small amount gets very sudsy very quickly. It also contains little glitters! It's a very fruity, soothing smell and even though I love glitter, I love even more that the glitter washes off when you rinse. The final body wash I tried is called Ice Blue Soap, a minty stimulating sea salt. It's very, very minty! I like it a lot, but I'm going to save it for when it gets cold outside and my nose gets stuffy because the smell definitely opens up your nasal passages. It smells like a mix between IcyHot and peppermint gum. It's great! I know, I mentioned a couple of blogs ago that I was going to be doing a review on facial cleansers, but I've decided to extend the trial period, so that blog will be coming soo! =] Anyways, I love these products and I hope you guys get to try them and hopefully you enjoy them and find other Lush products you enjoy as well! Fragrance Duplicate I Hope You All Enjoy!

So, I don't know how many of you are fans of the Victoria's Secret fragrance Love Spell, but it's one of my favorite scents. I have the body spray, lotion, and bath wash. I love it! But it's kind if pricey. For 7.5 ounces of Victoria' Secret's Love Spell Body Spray it costs $9 and for 7.5 ounces of the body lotion it costs $9.50. Which doesn't really seem to expensive especially considering it's a VS product. But the other day I was picking up a few necessities at our local Meijer and I came across this product called Sexiest Fantasies. I had never heard of these or seen them before so I tested out the scents. There were 4 or 5 different scents, but one that stood out was called Love Struck. Love Struck by Sexiest Fantasies smells exactly like Love Spell by VS. But the price is drastically different. The price of the Love Struck body spray is the same price as the Love Spell body spray, $9.00 But the price of 7.0 ounces of Love Struck is a shocking $3.99. I bought it, but I didn't have high hopes. But I actually love this lotion! It's not think or sticky or anything. It goes on really smooth, leaves your skin super moist, and is very airy. Plus, like I said early, it smells just like Love Spell. So, I'll probably stick with the Love Spell body spray since prices are the same, but I'm definitely going to start buying the Love Struck lotion since its cheaper and still very high quality! Also, not only can Sexiest Fantasies be pruchased at Meijer, but you can also get it at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, or almost anyother drug store! I hope you guys enjoyed this and I want to hear your responses about the products! Also feel free to ask any questions! And I'll tag photos of the products so you can see what the packaging looks like.

First Blog!

Hey Everyone!

So basically I've been involved in the online beauty community for a little over a year now and I finally decided to start inserting my own finds and opinions on the web. I have been thinking about doing this for awhile, and I decided that starting a blog would be a great way to start out. And depending on how this blog works out will be the deciding factor in whether or not I start posting videos via Youtube. But anyways, let me tell you a little about my self. My name is Alex, I'm 19, and I'm a sophomore in college. I'm majoring in public relations and minoring in dance. My minor used to be makeup, but it was mostly costume and theatre makeup and as fun as that is it wasn't exactly what I was interested in. What I plan on doing with this blog is reviewing makeup products, informing about new and upcoming makeup, and also discussing clothing, hair, and how to take care of yourself day to day. Though, the online beauty community is female dominant, I want to try and involve more males in it as well because makeup isn't the only topic we discuss. One of my major goals is to equally inform males on products for them as well! My next blog post and first official beauty review will be coming shortly! I actually have pretty bad skin when it comes to acne and so does my younger brother (16). But he and I have recently been trying out a couple of products for treating it. I asked him to experiment with one brand while I experimented with another. I will be reviewing that here in a couple of days since we have been using the products for almost a week. To wrap things up, I hope you all enjoy this blog and that it's helpful to you all! Also, I would love to hear feedback from you all! What you like, don't like and what you want me to try or things you want to learn. Feel free to comment and let me know. Thanks everyone!
